Sandra E. Herscher, age 78 of Woodstown, died Thursday, August 17, 2017 in Elmer Hospital.
Born in Salem on July 27, 1939, Sandra is the daughter of the late Floyd Sr. & Eleanor (Seagraves) McNally. She was a graduate of Woodstown High School, and she had worked in the kitchen for Kingsway High School. Sandra was hard-nosed but gentle. She was a wonderful wife, and she loved and protected her family.
Sandra is survived by her husband of over 55 years, Dave L. Herscher; her son, George Herscher; her daughters & sons-in-law, Cheryl & Alfred DiFilippantonio, Donna & Joe Sarbello, Sandra & Martin Graham, Sr., and Edwina & John Alvarez; her grandchildren, Katelynn Herscher, Ethan Herscher, Josh DiFilippantonio, Tiffany Sarbello, Joey Sarbello, Martin Graham, Jr., T.J. Hartung, and Brittany Hartung; her great-grandchildren, Hunter Hiles, Savannah Hiles, and two baby boys on the way; her sister, Edwina DeAngelo; and her brother, Floyd McNally, Jr.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her granddaughter, April Hiles; her grandson, George Herscher, Jr.; her sister, Donna Lockman; and her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Herscher.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, August 19th in the H.T. Layton Funeral Home, 102 S. Main St., Woodstown, where friends are invited to visit from 10 AM until the time of service. Burial will be in Lawnside Cemetery in Pilesgrove.
