Luella S. Stiles

Luella S. Stiles, age 95 of Carneys Point, passed away Friday, August 4, 2017 at Merion Gardens Assisted Living Facility.

Born in Woodbine on December 1, 1921, and raised in Tuckahoe, she was the daughter of the late William C. & Anna (Boyer) Strack. Luella was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Harrisonville, and she was affiliated with Ranch Hope for Boys in Alloway. She retired in 1982 from the Woodstown-Pilesgrove School District as an assistant cafeteria manager, after over 16 years of service.

She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Lynn & Edward Suess of Elmer; her daughter, Leah Hancock of Columbus, NJ; her grandchildren & their spouses, Bryan & Christal Suess of Middletown, DE, Kevin Suess of Elmer, Barry & Amy Suess of Westampton, NJ, Jason & Lisa Hancock of Hainesport, and Robert & Elizabeth Hancock of Columbus; her great-grandchildren, Shayne Suess of Middletown, Lauren Suess of Middletown, Joslyn Hancock of Hainesport, Wyatt Freeman of Westampton, and Parker John Suess of Westampton; and her sisters, Arline Stover of Largo, FL and Mary Cherry of Marmora, NJ. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Howard “Hic” Stiles, in February of 1992; her brother, Harry Strack; and her sister, Jean Franklin.

A celebration of Luella’s life will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, August 9th in the St. John’s United Methodist Church, 3 Main St., Harrisonville. Burial will be private in the Salem County War Veterans Cemetery.
