John W. Greenwood, age 41 of Mannington, died suddenly on Saturday, January 14, 2017 in Cooper Hospital in Camden.

Born in Salem, he was the son of John A. Jr. & June Greenwood. John was a 1993 graduate of Pennsville High School, and he worked as a supervisor at Aleris Roll Products in Clayton. He loved football, baseball, and anything sports related, and he enjoyed body building and riding motorcycles. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Jacob R. Greenwood; his grandfather, Jack C. Powers & fiancee Jamie Crispin; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Evelyn B. Powers, Lois Greenwood, and John A. Greenwood, Sr.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, January 19th in the H.T. Layton Funeral Home, 102 S. Main St., Woodstown, where friends are invited to visit from 10 AM until the time of service. Burial will be in Sharptown Methodist Cemetery.
