Ruth D. Cox

Ruth D. Cox (nee DeVelbis), age 92 of Pennsville, passed away peacefully at Friends Village surrounded by her loving family after a four year battle with Alzheimer’s.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 73 years, W. Bradford Cox, Jr.; her son & daughter-in-law, William B. III & Nancy Cox; her daughter & son-in-law, Sharon C. & Alan Wright; her granddaughters, Cathy J. Smith (& Jesse), and Amy Wright (& Mike); and her great-grandson, Lucas Bradford Smith. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Sylvia White and Anne Cox; her brother-in-law, Benny McLaughlin; and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, May 15th in the Salem County War Veterans Cemetery, Rt. 45, Pilesgrove.

Ruth enjoyed spending winters in Florida with Brad, time with family and friends, and vacationing with her daughter and son-in-law. She was an avid collector of many things, and she loved her Pekingese dogs.
