Mildred Thompson Harbison

harbison 2Mildred Thompson Harbison, age 92 of Woodstown, died Thursday, September 2, 2021, peacefully at home.

 

Born in Swedesboro, she grew up on the Mickleton farm of her parents, Earl M. and Ella Thompson. She and her brother, Everett, who died in 2021, established the Thompson Family Park in 2005 on the Wolfert Station Road land.

 

Before moving to Woodstown, she and her husband, Bill, lived in Media, PA where she worked as a secretary at Elwyn Institute.

 

A member of Asbury United Methodist Church, she was active in Bible studies and the Women’s Circle. She was also a member of the Woodstown Friends Home Auxiliary.

 

Mrs. Harbison was predeceased by her husband, William E. in 1997. Surviving are her daughter, Nancy (David Walters) and son, Paul (Barbara), three grandchildren, Andrew Walters (Nicole), Emily Fillippeli (Michael), and Jaclyn Harbison, a cousin Patricia T. DeCinque (Ben) and three nieces and a nephew.

 

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, September 10th in Asbury United Methodist Church, 149 South Main St., Woodstown, with a reception to follow.  Masks are required in church.  Interment will be private at Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church, 149 S.
