Lou Ewald, 85, of Pilesgrove, NJ died Saturday, December 5th, after a short illness. Born in Woodstown, he lived in the area his entire life. Lou owned Serv-U-Electric in Penns Grove and after retirement worked as a cashier in the Cracker Barrel in Pennsville. He was an active member in Penns Grove Rotary for 33 years, serving many of those as its Treasurer, enjoyed bowling and traveling, and loved his dogs and grand-dogs over the years. Lou is survived by his wife of 66 years, Helen, his son Michael (Carol), grandchildren Jonathan Ewald (Ashlee), Lauren Berry (Max) and Abby Lewis and 1 great-granddaughter, Paige. He was predeceased by his parents as well as his brother and sister.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 11am at H.T. Layton Funeral Home, 102 South Main Street, Woodstown, NJ.

A visitation will be held on Friday from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pittsgrove Baptist Cemetery.
