Kathy Lynn Schutz, 49, born in Woodbury, NJ, passed away unexpectedly on February 5th, 2024.

Devoted wife, supportive mother, and loving grandmother, family is what she loved most of all. Loved by many, Kathy was a gentle soul. Much like her mother, she made sure everyone was taken care of. She was always there with a shoulder to cry on.

Filled with ideas and creativity, a proud Salem County Historical Society member, Kathy took pride in researching everything from generations before. Ensuring everyone knew where they came from and that the memories of those before us were never forgotten.

Passionate about nature, Kathy loved the sunshine gleaming on her face. She sang with the birds, tended to her garden, and protected all God’s creatures.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Eric Schutz; two daughters, Cheyenne & Brandy Schutz; one granddaughter, Lucinda “Lucy” Schutz; three sisters; a brother; and twelve nieces & nephews.

She is predeceased by her mother & father, Rev. Carl J & Virginia H. Catts; 2 nieces & a nephew.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 10th, 2024, at 2 PM at Asbury United Methodist Church, 149 South Main St., Woodstown, NJ, where friends are invited to visit from 12-2 PM.  Burial will be private.
