Irene H. Horvath

Irene H. Horvath, (nee. Steber) age 87 of Roebling passed away peacefully at home on February 9, 2017, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Born in Beaver Meadows, Pa., Irene resided in Roebling for the last 75

years.

She was the daughter of the late John and Sue (Wandishin) Steber.

Irene was a member of Saints Francis and Clare Parish, the Altar Rosary

Society, and a member of the ILGWU for many years.

She was a loving and dedicated daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and

great -grandmother. Irene’s sparkling eyes and loving smile will be missed

by all who loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Robert) Hendricks, a son Paul (Rene)

Horvath, six grandchildren, Paul Horvath, Jessica (Brent) Donahue, Ashley

(Michael) Murawski, Nina (Reece) Woolston, Alexa (Jon) Herold, Connor

Horvath, four great-grandchildren, Parker and Avonlea Murawski, Mairead

Irene Donahue, and Hudson Herold, one sister, Helen Dubow, one brother,

Bernard

(Joan) Steber, sisters-in-law, Joan Steber, Rose Caruso, Barbara Horvath,

and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, a son David, a brother Paul

Steber, and brother-in-law Joseph Dubow.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 18th at 12 Noon in Holy

Assumption Church, 1290 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling, NJ. Burial will follow

in the parish cemetery.

A viewing will take place on Saturday morning from 10 to 11:30 AM at Dennison

Funeral Home, 214 West Front Street, Florence, NJ Memorial contribution can

be made in her memory to the Food Pantry of Saints Francis and Clare Parish.
