Doris M. Miller, age 86 of Elmer, died Monday, May 16, 2016 in Merion Gardens in Carneys Point.

Born in Bridgeton, daughter of the late John & Anna (Myers) Shiles, she was a 1947 graduate of Bridgeton High School. Doris worked as an LPN for Dr. Joseph LaCavera, D.O. for 20 years, and later, she briefly worked for a few local nursing homes and also provided private home health care before her retirement.  She enjoyed traveling the world, visiting many different countries, and for several years, she spent her winters in Florida.  Most of all, Doris loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Doris is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Diane M. & William Robbins; her granddaughters, Amanda (& Herb) Green and Kyle (& Kevin) Dordell; her great-grandchildren, Tyler, Bailey, Kaylee, Riley, Kinsey, Katelyn, Zachary, and Kieran; and her sisters, Marian (& Newell) Miller and Geraldine (& Dan) Oldt.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert M. Miller, Sr. in March of 1985; her son, Robert M. Miller, Jr. in October of 2002; her sister, Charlotte, and her brother, Maurice.
