Beatrice Mary Gallagher

Watch Journey of Remembrance Video TributeBeatrice “Mary” Gallagher, age 71 of Pennsville, formerly of Salem, died Tuesday, July 26, 2016 in her home with her family by her side.

Born in Prenter, WV, she was the daughter of the late Irving J. Sr. & Loretta F. (Sutphin) Williams. Mary attended Salem High School, and she worked in office administration during her career with Anchor Hocking, the City of Salem, and PSE&G. She enjoyed arts and crafts, including woodworking and painting, but most of all, she loved her granddaughter and great-granddaughters, and spending time with them at her home. She was a former member of the Pennsville Democratic Organization and a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Salem Eagles Club.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Angela Boyer – Seeney; her granddaughter, Fhawn Seeney – Prater (& Luke); her great-granddaughters, Jacklyne, Jasmyne, and Jamielyne; her sister, Veronica Hoyle; her brothers, Kelly Legg, Billy Legg, Sr., and Michael Williams; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, William H. “Butchy” Boyer, Jr.; and her brothers, Isaac C. Legg, Irving J. Williams, Jr., and Roger E. Legg.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, July 30th in the H.T. Layton Funeral Home, 102 S. Main St., Woodstown, where friends are invited to visit from 1 PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
