Richard Keen

Richard (Rich) Keen, 76, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend was called home to the Lord on Saturday, January 20, 2018. He discovered his passion as a farmer at a young age and spent 28 years as an owner, operator of his own dairy farm. In 1990, Rich decided to trade in his dairy cows and join the PSEG Nuclear power plant. During his 27 years at PSEG, Rich continued to farm in his free time. Rich enjoyed spending time with his family, farming, auctions, traveling, and the Shady Maple Smorgasbord. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara, his son Richard of Quinton, NJ; daughters Michele (Butch) Bradbury of Alloway, NJ; and Cheryl (Tom) Sparks of Milton, DE. Rich was proud to be a grandfather of Brad (Sammi) Bradbury, William (Jessica) Bradbury, Tori Keen, and Taylor (Brandon) Lloyd, and a loving great-grandfather to five. He is also survived by his sister Doris (Ron) Cheesman of Loveland, CO; and his brother Tom (Ruby) Keen of Sterling, CO. Rich was predeceased by his father Maurice “Shorty”, mother Nellie, and his sisters Arienda McCormick and Midge Genereux.

Rich asked his friends and family to gather for a party in his honor. The party will begin at 11 AM on Saturday, February 3rd at the Alloway Methodist Church Social Hall, 10 Church St., Alloway, NJ.
