Frank F. Rowand, Jr.

rowand squareFrank F. Rowand Jr., affectionately known as Bud, aged 82, of Alloway, NJ, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2024, surrounded by family and friends. Frank was born on August 19, 1941, and graduated from Woodstown High School in 1959.

He is survived by his two sons, Brett and Bradley, his daughter-in-law Heidi Rowand, and grandson Brett Rowand Jr. Frank is also survived by his sister Kathy R. Jones, her husband Dave Jones, along with his nieces Jennifer Jones and Kimberly Imas, and nephew David Jones. He shared a special bond with his dear friend Barbara Stiles. Bud was predeceased by his parents, Mabel and Frank F. Rowand Sr.

Bud dedicated many years of his life to Anchor Glass Company in Salem, NJ, where he worked until his retirement in 2007.

Proudly serving his country, Bud was a veteran of the Army and the Vietnam War (1964-1970). He also served as a past Chief of the Alloway Township Fire Department.

In his leisure time, Bud found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved spending time outdoors, particularly in his garage and tending to the grass. He cherished attending car shows with his friends, showcasing his restored 1989 Chevy Blazer and 1999 Chevy Tahoe. Family vacations to Lake George, NY, camping trips, and boating excursions on the Chesapeake were among his most treasured pastimes. Bud had a passion for coaching, having mentored his two sons in grade school basketball, and in recent years, took immense pride in watching his grandson excel in wrestling.
