Ruth Master, age 86 of Westville, died Wednesday, July 26, 2017 in Inspira Hospital in Woodbury.
Born in Alloway, she was the daughter of the late Sara May Lacy. Ruth worked as an inspector for Ron & Son in Glassboro, retiring in 1995. She had been an active member of the South Harrison Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, and she liked collecting piggy banks. She enjoyed her time while delivering Sunday Inquirer newspapers.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Barbara Ridgway (& Bobby Hudson); her son, John E. Master, Jr. (& Linda Jackson); her grandchildren, Allen A. Ridgway, Amy M. Paulson, Victoria Ann Ridgway, and Matthew John Master; and her great-grandchildren, Mariah and Nathan. She is also survived by her sister, Reba Jones. In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her husband, John Elwell Master, Sr. in 1995 and her daughter, Alice E. Paulson in 2014.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 1st in the H.T. Layton Funeral Home, 102 S. Main St., Woodstown, where friends are invited to visit from 9 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow the service in St. John’s Methodist Cemetery in Harrisonville.
