Ruth Ann Hemple, age 83 of Lower Alloways Creek Township, died Monday, March 5, 2018, in her home with her husband by her side.

Born in Clarksburg, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late William H. & Flossie (Fultz) Cummins. Ruth, along with her husband, Gilbert, was a longtime auto racing fan, especially NASCAR. They had traveled in past years to watch races at Daytona and Talladega and also enjoyed local racing at Bridgeport Speedway.

Ruth is survived by her husband of 66 years, Gilbert H. Hemple; her daughter, Louanne Ireland of North Carolina; her brother, Donald Cummins of Florida; and many grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sons, Gilbert H. Hemple, Jr., Donald Lee Hemple, and Joseph T. Hemple.
