Ruby Lee Haney

Ruby Lee Haney, age 87 of Mannington, formerly of Woodstown, died Friday, November 17, 2017, in her home with her family by her side.

Born in Fines Creek, NC, she was the daughter of the late John and Pearlie (Trantham) Haynes. Mrs. Haney worked over 30 years in quality control for Rode’s Egg Farm in Swedesboro. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a great memory. She enjoyed reading, especially her newspapers, and she enjoyed watching reality shows. Along with her husband, she enjoyed riding motorcycles and attending bluegrass festivals. She also enjoyed visiting the AC casinos, and in recent years, she cherished her best friend, Freckles, her chihuahua, her first pet dog. Most of all, she loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Haney is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law, Doris & Dan Harrington of FL and Linda & Kip Manley of Penton; her son & daughter-in-law, Bob & Carol Haney of FL; eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Wade Robert Haney in February of 2012 and seven siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 21st in the H.T. Layton Funeral Home, 102 S. Main St., Woodstown, where friends are invited to visit from 10 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow the funeral service in Lawnside Cemetery.
