Quentin C. Lange

Quentin C. Lange, age 97 of South Harrison Twp., died Sunday, April 2, 2017 in the Vineland Veterans Memorial Home.

Born and raised on the Lange Farm in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Ernest & Elizabeth (Magin) Lange. Quentin was an Army Air Corps veteran of WWII. He was a self-employed mechanic, owning and operating Lange’s Garage in Harrisonville. He enjoyed all sports, especially golfing, bowling, and softball. Quentin was an excellent musician, and he mastered many different instruments. He played in several bands, including the Swedesboro Hillbillies and the Four Sharps. He had served his community as both mayor of South Harrison Township and as member of the Harrisonville Fire Company.

Quentin is survived by his daughter, Diane Trovero; his son, Ronald Lange; his nephew, William Lange; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his first wife, Hannah May in January of 1984; his second wife, Ludwina “Heidi” Lange, in September of 2009; his son, John, in September of 2015; and seven brothers & sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, April 7th in the H.T. Layton Funeral Home, 102 S. Main St., Woodstown, where friends are invited to visit from 10 AM until the time of service. Burial with military honors will follow services in Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro.
