Patricia F. “Pat” Fowler

Patricia F. “Pat” Fowler, age 71 of Sharptown, died Thursday, October 12, 2017 in her home with her family by her side. Born in Salem, daughter of the late Frank & Sarah (Estes) Freas, she was a 1964 graduate of Woodstown High School. After high school, Pat worked as a waitress at the Cowtown Steakhouse, where she met her husband, “Corn”. She worked most of her career at Farmers Mutual Insurance in Salem, and she also worked as a dietician at Friends Home. She loved her grandchildren and devoted her life to caring for her husband and children. She enjoyed swimming in her pool, and she loved her dogs, Brut and Annie. She had a lifelong love for singing and dancing.

Pat is survived by her son, Scott E. Fowler(Lorrie); her daughter, Kim Nelson(Kary); her grandchildren, Bridgette Remster(Philip), Shawna Fowler, Wyatt Nelson(Jenna), and Chase Nelson; and her cousin, Betty Lee Falconer. Betty and Pat along with their cousin, Dorothy Hagerman, who predeceased them, were like sisters as they grew up together. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, William E. “Corn” Fowler, in August of 2009.

Friends are invited to visit with Pat’s family from 5 to 7 PM on Monday, October 16th in the H.T. Layton Funeral Home, 102 S. Main St., Woodstown. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Pat’s memory to Home to Stay Health Care Solutions, 383 North Kings Highway, Suite 210, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034, or to Bayada Hospice, 603 North Broad St., #301, Woodbury, NJ 08096.
