Leroy Wesley Skinner

Leroy Wesley Skinner, age 71 of Pilesgrove, died Friday, November 17, 2017, in his home with his family by his side.

Born in Woodbury, he was the son of the late Edgar A. & Dorothy D. (Layton) Skinner. Leroy attended Woodstown High School and was the first graduating class of the then-new Kingsway High School in 1964. He retired as Manager of Information Services from the Community College of Philadelphia in 2005 after 36 years of service. He had been a Ruritan member since October of 1971, and he enjoyed camping with his family, woodworking, gardening, and country music.

Leroy is survived by his son & daughter-in-law, David D. & Amy (Buenaflor) Skinner; his daughter & son-in-law, Amy Carole (Skinner) & Michael Thomas Hays; and his brothers, Kenny and Donald Skinner. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Margery C. (Estilow) Skinner in March of 2017.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, November 22nd in the Mullica Hill Friends Meetinghouse, 2 Woodstown Road, Mullica Hill, where friends are invited to visit from 10 AM until the time of service. A viewing will be held on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM in the H.T. Layton Funeral Home, 102 S. Main St., Woodstown. Burial will be on Wednesday following the funeral service in the church cemetery.
