Kathleen E. “Kathy” Mortimer

Born in Swedesboro, Kathy was the daughter of the late J. Thomas & Sarah E. (Quirk) Crawford. She along with her future husband, Jeff, both graduated from Woodstown High School in 1961. They were high school sweethearts who married on September 16, 1961. She loved RV traveling with her husband, seeing every state in the continental US, and enjoyed the beauty of Montana most of all. She spent her winters in Florida, and enjoyed going to the casinos. She was an avid bowler and was an excellent field hockey player, playing semi-pro after high school.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jeffrey W. Mortimer, Sr.; her daughter & son-in-law, Nancy J. & J. Patrick Faline; her daughter-in-law, Cheryl L. (Duffield) Mortimer; and her grandchildren, Zachary T. Mortimer & Hope K. Kloczko, Melissa L. Mortimer, Megan E. Faline, and Evan P. Faline. Kathy was predeceased by her son, Jeffrey W. Mortimer, Jr., in March of 2017.

She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, William T Crawford, Patricia A DuPuoy, Eileen M Schrier, F. Joan Loper, Michael J Crawford and their respective families.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 6th in the H.T. Layton Funeral Home, 102 S. Main St., Woodstown, where friends are invited to visit from 9 AM until the time of service. Burial will be in Lawnside Cemetery following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jeffrey W. Mortimer, Jr. Scholarship Fund, which can be mailed to Woodstown High School, 140 East Ave., Woodstown, NJ 08098, c/o Nan Hathaway, or to the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
