Carl John Aquilino

Watch Journey of Remembrance Video TributeCarl J. Aquilino, age 86 of Pilesgrove, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at his home.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Charles and Irma (Terra) Aquilino.

At the age of nine, Carl learned to play music, the Accordion, and the Organ which he enjoyed very much. Carl served his Country honorably as a Sergeant in the US Marine Corps., and graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science. He owned and operated the CALM Insurance Agency in Woodbury, NJ for many years, and was then employed by the State of New Jersey, Insurance Fraud

Department. For many years he was a member and also the organist at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic

Church, in Woodstown, NJ. He is survived by one daughter, Linda Aquilino, a son, Michael Aquilino,

four grandchildren, Victoria Brown, Michael (Marcie), Mark (Melody), and Matthew Aquilino, and five great grandchildren, Kayla, Alyssa, Maxwell, Anthony and Adrianna Aquilino, as well as two brothers, James and Anthony Aquilino. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Anna M. (Daughn) Aquilino in 2008 and two sisters, Rose Doyle and Jenny DiGiandomenico. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 19, 2016 at 11 am in H. T. Layton Funeral Home, 102 South Main Street, Woodstown, NJ.

A viewing will take place on Friday morning from 9am until the time of service at the funeral home.

Burial with full Military Honors will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery; Woodstown, NJ Contributions in his memory can be made to the American Heart Association.
