Booth R. Wooten, Jr.

Booth R. Wooten, Jr., age 81 of Woodstown, died Monday, April 3, 2017 in Kindred Hospital in Philadelphia. Booth was born in Oxford, MS to Bessie Brown Wooten and Booth R. Wooten Sr. on July 11, 1935. His family moved to NJ during WW II and he attended Woodstown School. He played tennis and football for WHS and graduated in 1954. After attending a year at Juniata College he began working for DuPont Experimental Station in 1955. In 1956 he married his childhood friend and high school sweetheart, Vetta June Perry.

Booth joined the USAF in 1957 and spent 3 years in Germany. He was a boy scout troop leader, loved playing tennis, jogging, bicycling, riding his Goldwing motorcycle, sailing his Hobie Cat and riding his

Skidoo. He went camping every year with his family.

Booth is survived by his wife of 61+ years, Vetta June Wooten; a son Danny Booth (Sheryl); two daughters, Nancy Ann Walters (Wayne) and Bonnie Jean Turner; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
